NEW BRAUNFELS — Police are investigating the robbery of First Commercial Bank, 1525 S. Seguin Ave., this afternoon in New Braunfels.

Witnesses told investigators that a black male entered the bank at about 12:20 p.m., handed the teller a note demanding money and then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police spokesperson David Ferguson said. The robber did not display a weapon during the crime, Ferguson said.

New Braunfels police investigators ask people with information about the identity or whereabouts of the robber to contact the department or Comal County Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest and grand jury indictment. Tips can be submitted anonymously by phone at 830-620-TIPS (8477) or online here.
