FROM STAFF REPORTS
Texas State University officials said to disregard a text message that urged students to evacuate campus buildings. The message was apparently sent in error to university students across the state Wednesday evening.
The message states, “Attention. There is an emergency on campus. Calmly evacuate all buildings using available exits. Move away from buildings and wait for further instructions.”
On social media, Texas State officials told recipients to ignore the message, as did officials at the University of Texas and St. Edward’s in Austin.
