San Marcos will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorism attacks with a remembrance ceremony at 8:45 a.m. Sunday at City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins St.

The San Marcos Fire Department Honor Guard will raise the flag that was flying over city hall the morning of September 11, 2001. The fire department’s bagpipers will perform before Mayor Daniel Guerrero reads a proclamation and calls for a moment of silence.

The city will provide carnations to attendees for placement on the event’s flower memorial.
