BRYAN — Kristian Guerrero, the Brazos Valley woman who lost her husband and unborn son this month in a fatal San Marcos car wreck, hopes that talking about her ordeal will help convince people not to drink and drive.
“If our story can reach someone, and keep someone from getting in the car, or it can keep a friend from letting one of their friends get in the vehicle, I just hope that this would save someone else’s life because what I feel everyday waking up is so hard,” Guerrero, 24, told the NBC network affiliate in Bryan.
Shana Lee Elliott, a 21-year-old Texas State student, faces felony intoxication manslaughter and assault charges in the Aug. 2 head-on collision that killed 23-year-old Fabian Guerrero-Moreno and the unborn child his five-months pregnant wife was carrying.
As of Aug. 18, Elliott is still being held on in the Hays County jail on bail totaling $385,000.
