4:56 p.m. FRIDAY, JULY 29 | The victim in a fatal collision on the northbound I-35 access road in New Braunfels has been identified as Kaylee Coleman, a 19-year-old Seguin resident.

1:19 p.m. THURSDAY, JULY 28 | NEW BRAUNFELS — A 19-year-old Seguin woman died this morning when the Ford Escape she was driving collided with the rear-end of an 18-wheeler on an Interstate 35 access road in New Braunfels.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene in the 4200 block of the northbound access road by Comal County Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Mike Rust, who declined to identify the woman until her next of kin is notified.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, a 55-year-old man from San Antonio, was not injured.

New Braunfels police and firefighters responded to the wreck at about 9:45 a.m., police spokesperson David Ferguson said. The access road was closed for about 3½ hours while crews investigated the collision and cleaned up the wreckage.
