NIEDERWALD — Hays County Sheriff’s Office investigators are looking for two men who shot a convenience store clerk in the leg during the course of a robbery Saturday night.

At about 10:15 p.m. June 11, deputies were dispatched to robbery call at Sac N Pac, 13901 Camino Real (Texas 21) in northeastern Hays County. One store clerk was shot in the leg below the knee and taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin in stable condition, said Lt. Jeri Skrocki, the sheriff’s office spokesperson.

During the robbery, the suspects fired multiple gunshots inside the store before fleeing north on Texas 21 toward Bastrop with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. They are described as Latino men of unknown ages wearing face masks and hoodies and driving a dark-colored pickup truck of unknown make and model.
