A joint city-county task force arrested a 59-year-old San Marcos area woman for prostitution following an undercover investigation at Chi Massage, 1904 Old Ranch Road 12, just outside the city limits.

Linan Wang, 59, is being held at the Hays County jail on the class B misdemeanor charge.

Last month, officers received a tip that the business was advertising sexual services on social media outlets, Lt. Jeri Skrocki said. A Hays County Narcotics Taskforce found online reviews in which various customers had described in detail the sexual services they had allegedly received at the massage parlor.

“Prostitution is not a victimless crime and officers will continue the investigation to attempt to uncover any leads that connect the business and its owners or associates with organized crime or human trafficking,” said San Marcos police Sgt. Wade Parham, the task force commander.

Officers will begin the process of revoking the business’ license to operate for code violations, Parham said.
