FROM SUBMITTED REPORTS

The theatre and dance department will present Arthur Miller’s “A View From The Bridge” Tuesday, Oct. 6 through Sunday, Oct. 11 at Texas State University’s Performing Arts Center, located at 405 Moon St. in downtown San Marcos.

Described as a “dark and passionate tale,” the play is set in Brooklyn where longshoreman Eddie Carbone welcomes his Sicilian cousins to the land of freedom. When one of them falls for Eddie’s beautiful niece, they discover that freedom comes at a price. Eddie’s jealous mistrust exposes a deep, unspeakable secret – one that drives him to commit the ultimate act of betrayal.

Directed by Melissa Utley, all performances will be held in the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre. Tickets start at $15 for adults and $8 for students and may be purchased by phone at 512-245-6500 or online here.
