NEAR DRIPPING SPRINGS — A Wimberley teenager was killed along Ranch Road 12 Monday after he drove off the road and over-corrected into the path of a sports-utility vehicle.

According to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesperson, authorities identified Jake Barber-Goodman, 18, of Wimberley as the driver of a 2006 Honda Civic. Barber-Goodman was killed in the accident.

Two other people in a 2007 Cadillac ATS, Aaron Deloache, 44, of Marble Falls, and Lindsey Halm, 34, of Arlington were injured in the accident. Both were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin where they are currently in stable condition.

Monday’s accident occurred at 9:44 p.m. on Ranch Road 12 near Gatlin Creek Road. According to a DPS accident report, the Civic was traveling north on Ranch Road 12 when Barber-Goodman drove off of the east side of the road and entered into a counterclockwise skid.

Barber-Goodman traveled back onto the roadway, but skidded into the southbound lane of traffic. According to the report, the right side of the Civic struck the front of the ATS driven by Deloache.

Upon impact, the Civic broke into three pieces. According to the report, Barber-Goodman was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
