The San Marcos-based Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center is offering a 30-hour series of classes for professional mediators on conflicts between parents and their children Sept. 9-18.

The advanced course will cover topics that include family dynamics, communications skills, ethics, conservatorship, child development and family violence.

The deadline to register for the $500 course is Sept. 1. Downloaded a registration form here.

The dispute resolution center, a non-profit organization that seeks to facilitate conflict resolution and problem-solving, recently expanded its service area to include Guadalupe, Comal and Caldwell counties.
