The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center re-opened at noon today at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins St. Hours of operation are:

Weekdays: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday: Closed.

The Disaster Recovery Center is a readily accessible facility where flood survivors may go for information about FEMA or other disaster assistance programs, or for questions related to a FEMA case. Some of the services include:

· Guidance regarding disaster recovery

· Clarification of any written correspondence received

· Housing assistance and rental resource information

· Answers to questions, resolution to problems and referrals to agencies that may provide further assistance

· Status of applications being processed by FEMA

· SBA program information

· Disaster Unemployment

Residents and business owners in Hays County who sustained losses can begin applying for assistance online anytime or using toll-free telephone numbers 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week until further notice.

Register on the phone: 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or 1-800-462-7585 (TTY).

Register using 711 relay or Video Relay Service (VRS): 1- 800-621-3362 directly.
