Effective July 6, Boyle replaces Sam Huenergardt who last month was named chief executive officer at Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Colo., a Centura Health facility.

Boyle is president of Summit Leadership Solutions, a health care and church management consulting firm. He previously served as chief executive at Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver and senior vice president for Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health.

Boyle’s career with Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System include tours as chief executive at Shawnee Mission Medical Center near Kansas City, Mo., and various administrative positions at Florida Hospital in Orlando.

Prior to Huenergardt’s appointment, Boyle served as Central Texas Medical Center’s interim chief executive in 2010.

Adventist Health officials expect to have a “permanent senior leader” installed at CTMC by early fall, said Ken Finch, CTMC’s board chair and president of Adventist Health’s southwest region.
