A partial list of roads damaged or destroyed in Hays County by the Blanco River flood as of Tuesday, June 9:

River Road in Wimberley: Open. Sustained major damage to the surface and shoulders.

FM 150/Onion Creek double low-water crossings: Open. Sustained what officials think is minor surface damage. Re-opened late morning June 9.

Fischer Store Road/Blanco River bridge: Closed. Completely destroyed. TxDOT is working on a new design. Hays County is investigating options for a temporary bridge or low-water crossing until a more permanent structure can be buit.

Old Martindale Road/San Marcos River bridge: Open. Sustained but is officials think it is safe for traffic. A more complete evaluation will be conducted when the water level drops.

County Road 266/San Marcos River bridge: Open. Minor damage is already being repaired; additional repairs will be evaluated when water level drops.

York Creek Road/York Creek low-water crossing: Closed. York Creek Road, between Soechting Lane and Francis Harris Lane, was closed the week prior to March 23-24 flood as a result of storm damage.

Post Road/Blanco River low-water crossing: Closed. About 50 feet of this low-lying bridge was destroyed. It will be closed until further notice.

Valley View Drive/Blanco River low-water crossing: Closed. Sustained flood damage but a complete evaluation is not possible until water levels drop.

Hidden Valley/Blanco River low-water crossing: Closed. The low-water crossing between Flite Acres Road and Spoke Hollow Road was completely destroyed. Hays County is considering replacement options.

Little Arkansas Road/Blanco River low-water crossing: Closed. The crossing cannot be evaluated for damage until water levels drop.

County Road 1492/Blanco River low-water crossing: Closed. The crossing cannot be evaluated for damage until water levels drop.

Haschke Road/Blanco River low-water crossing: Open. A more complete damage assessment will be conducted when the water level drops.

County Road 266/Miller’s Lake low-water crossing: Open. A more complete damage assessment will be conducted when the water level drops.

Hays County’s assessment of road and bridge damage is ongoing. Flood damage can be reported to the Hays County Transportation Department at 512-393-7385.
