NEW BRAUNFELS — The Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization is holding a public meeting this week on development of a regional plan for improving bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.
The open house will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15 at Landa Haus, 360 Aquatic Circle in Landa Park. Similar meetings were held last month in Seguin and Boerne.
The regional agency, which oversees distribution of more than $200 million in federal and state transportation funding, is currently developing a Regional Bicycle/Pedestrian Planning Study which includes a hike-and-bike master plan for the city of San Antonio and an inventory of conditions in outlying cities such as New Braunfels and Seguin.
