The Hays County Child Protective Board is collecting used toner and ink cartridges to raise money for basic needs like diapers, car seats, clothing, bedding, school supplies and medical care.

The board is looking to set up donation boxes at local businesses and organizations. Volunteers will pick up donated cartridges on a monthly basis or more often if necessary.

For information, called board member Michelle Schlotter at 512-753-9950. The child protective board is also accepting cash donations, which can be mailed to the board at 605 Rogers Street, San Marcos, TX, 78666.
