WIMBERLEY — William E. “Bill” Partin, an 89-year-old Wimberley resident, died surrounded by family members on Saturday, June 28. He was born on August 22, 1924 in Cushing.
Partin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. In the late 1950s, he founded Partin’s Furniture in Baytown and moved his business to San Marcos in 1983, renaming it Partin’s Second Tyme Furniture.
He was a member of the Church of Christ where he served as a teacher, youth worker, deacon and elder.
Partin is survived by three sons: Nolan Partin and his wife, Caty, of San Marcos; Tracy Partin and his wife, Linda, of Kyle; and Joel Partin and his wife, Sally, of Allen. He is also survived by grandchildren Randy Nedbalek and his wife, Brenna, of Burnett; Mike Nedbalek and his wife, Amanda, of Kingsland; Betsy Hailey and her husband, Jeremy, of Richardson; Nicole Partin of Kyle; and Lee Ann Partin of Kyle. He also leave behind eight great-grandchildren.
Partin was preceded in death by his wife, Joe Ann Partin, who died in 2011.
Services were held Wednesday, July 2 at the Thomason Funeral Home chapel in Wimberley followed by burial with military honors at Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martindale.Email | Print
