5:46 p.m. FRIDAY APRIL, 11: Police have identified the woman who died earlier today under “suspicious” circumstances as 23-year old Misty Amber Davis, who resided at a home in the 1300 block of Barbara Drive, city of San Marcos spokesperson Melissa Millecam said.

2:18 p.m. FRIDAY, APRIL 11: San Marcos police are investigating the suspicious death of a 23-year-old woman and the injury of a 25-year-old man who lived with the deceased.

San Marcos police are not releasing details on the cause of death pending an autopsy by the Travis County Medical Examiner.

A 911 call was received from the man at approximately 1:01 a.m. Friday morning advising 911 dispatchers he had been shot.

Police and EMS responded to the man’s residence in the 1300 block of Barbara Drive, San Marcos. The woman was found non-responsive inside the residence and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Justice of the Peace Margie Hernandez has ordered an autopsy.

The man was transported to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. He was treated and released a few hours later. The investigation is ongoing.

  1. Why have there been no updates to this story? WHo was the male? What is his condition? Was this a murder-suicide atempt, or was he shot by someone else? What happened here?

  2. NO WAY was this a murder suicide!!! She would NEVER do that!!! And YES; why are there NO updates? As far as the guy; he was released the same day so he’s fine.
