Texas State University’s Department of Theater and Dance will present the musical “Anything Goes,” featuring the music of Cole Porter, at 7:30 p.m. April 7-15 and 2 p.m. April 13.
Directed by Kaitlin Hopkins, “Anything Goes” features a new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman, choreography by Cassie Abate and musical direction by Greg Bolin.
Set aboard an ocean liner, the romantic comedy features charming characters and high-energy dance numbers. Porter’s magical score boasts classics such as “It’s De-Lovely,” ”Anything Goes,” “You’re The Top” and “I Get A Kick Out Of You.”
Performances will be held in the Patti Strickel Harrison Theatre in the Texas State Performing Arts Center on campus. Tickets are $15 to $18 for general admission and $8 for students with a valid Texas State ID. For the preview performance on Monday, April 7, tickets are available for $5.
