Three people were stabbed, one of them fatally, when a fight broke out early Sunday during a party in the Sunset Acres neighborhood east of Kyle.

Ulisis Garcia, 20, died shortly after being admitted to Seton Medical Center Hays, where he had been taken by friends along with two other stabbing victims, Hays County Sheriff’s Sgt. Phillip Taylor said. He declined to release the names of the two injured men.

Garcia lived in San Antonio where he worked installing solar panels in San Antonio, but came home to Kyle every weekend, his three sisters told KVUE News in a story aired Monday night.

“It’s not fair. It’s not fair what they did to him. My brother didn’t deserve that. No one deserves that. That was a very cruel way what they did to him,” one of his sisters said.

Neighbor Phillip Webb told KXAN News that he was playing video games in his house across the street when he heard a boom and looked outside to see people running down the street.

Anyone with information about the stabbings can call Hays County Sheriff’s investigators at 512-393-7896 or Hays County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-324-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to arrests and indictments.

“This person needs to be put behind bars. We need people to speak up. We need people to come forward and say what they know,” one of Ulisis Garcia’s sisters said.
