11:17 a.m. FRIDAY, FEB. 7: From Texas State University spokesperson Jayme Blaschke:

Due to continued icy road conditions Friday, Feb. 7, both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses of Texas State University will remained closed for business operations and classes the remainder of the day.

Normal business operations and class schedules will resume Saturday, Feb. 8, unless otherwise noted.

As always, Texas State faculty members, staff members and students should exercise their own best judgment regarding the safety of their own travel based on their local conditions.

10:36 p.m. THURSDAY, FEB. 6: From Texas State University spokesperson Jayme Blaschke:

Due to the icy road conditions Friday, Feb. 7, both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses of Texas State University will delay the opening of business operations and classes until noon.

As always, Texas State faculty members, staff members and students should exercise their own best judgment regarding the safety of their own travel based on their local conditions.

From Hays CISD spokesperson Tim Savoy:

All Hays CISD schools and offices will be closed on Friday, February 7, 2014, because of the likelihood of inclement weather in the morning and lasting until after the noon hour.

From Hays County spokesperson Laureen Chernow:

By order of County Judge Bert Cobb, M.D., Hays County offices will open two hours later than normal — for most offices this is a 10 a.m. start time.
