Central Texas Medical Center will award ten $1,000 scholarships to local high school seniors this year, continuing a program the hospital started in 1997.

Applicants will be evaluated based on community involvement, work or organization experience, financial need and academic achievement. Scholarship funds will be released to recipients after proof of enrollment and a tuition statement have been submitted for a university, college, community college or a vocational or trade school.

Applications must be delivered to CTMC, 1301 Wonder World Drive, or postmarked by Thursday, March 20. Download the application here.

Last year, the medical center awarded 11 scholarships, the most in the fund’s 16 year history. Recipients included one from Lehman High, two from Lockhart, one from San Marcos Academy, five from San Marcos High and two from Wimberley.
