Texas State lost its first volleyball match in the Sun Belt Conference Friday, falling to a Western Kentucky team that now has 31 straight wins in the league.

Venturing on the road for the first time in the league, the Bobcats lost in three sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-16). The Bobcats now are 12-6 overall and 2-1 in the league. Western Kentucky is 4-0 in the Sun Belt.

Ashlee Hilbun led Texas State’s effort with nine kills. Shelby Vas Matt and Amari Deardorff gave Hilbun combined for 15 kills.

The Bobcats will continue their road trip Sunday at noon, when they play at Georgia State.
