KYLE — A dead bat that later tested positive for rabies was found last week in downtown Kyle.
The bat was found at approximately 9 a.m. on Aug. 14 on the sidewalk on the east side of the building at 100 West Center Street in Kyle. The bat was tested by the Department of State Health Services and found to be positive for rabies.
Kyle officials advise that if you think that you or someone else may have come in physical contact with this animal, you should put in a call to Kyle Animal Control at (512) 268-8800 and the Department of State Health Services Zoonosis Control at (254) 778-6744.
