Texas State has again been named a top university in Texas for return on investment by the website AffordableCollegesOnline.org.

“AC Online: Highest Return on Investment Colleges in Texas” used data sets from the federal government and private agencies to choose from among four-year, degree-granting colleges that are fully accredited, public or private.

AC Online analyzed 452 colleges and universities in Texas and placed 49 in its rankings, which are here: http://www.affordablecollegesonline.org/online-colleges/texas/.

Texas State comes up 32nd on the list. AC Online said Texas State returns $414,100 for an annual tuition of $7,732. Rice came up on top of the rankings, with a return of $1,069,000 for annual tuition of $37,292.

Graduates from the ranked schools enjoy the largest earnings gap between non-degree holders over 30 years, and earn more on average than graduates from other Texas schools, according to AC Online.

“These are important lists for prospective students to consider,” AC Online founder Dan Schuessler said. “We’ve sifted through comprehensive data sources to find colleges and universities in Texas that offer a high quality education with consistent, long-term payoffs in the workplace.”
