The colorful decade of the 1960s and President Lyndon B. Johnson’s years in the White House will be in focus at the LBJ Museum of San Marcos’ fourth “60s Night” fundraiser 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16.
A selection of ‘60s album covers, literature, movie posters and photos of celebrities who are identified with that decade will be displayed and music of the era will featured during the event. Also on display will be photos of President Johnson on such key occasions as the signing of the historic Civil Rights bill and the Higher Education Act of 1965, which he signed on the campus of his alma mater. A silent auction, snacks and wine will be provided.
