The San Marcos City Council and the Planning & Zoning Commission will hold a joint workshop on Thursday, July 25 at 6 p.m. at the City Park Rec Hall, 170 Charles Austin Drive.

The council and the commission will receive staff presentations and discuss the ongoing implementation of the Downtown Master Plan, creation of a downtown parking management district and changes to the Land Development Code resulting from the adoption of the city’s new comprehensive plan, Vision San Marcos, A River Runs Through Us.

Because of the location at the City Park Rec Hall, the meeting will not be televised. The meeting is open to the public.

  1. A river runs through a bunch of apartment complexes.You all need to quit being over zealous. Try looking at Buda and how they have implemented a certain amount of apt complexes that can be built. You all have heard the stop building apartment complexes here for the 1013 time. Lets see what happens in five to ten years. Guessing a lot of empty apartments. Yall saw it here.

  2. “Smart growth” isn’t so smart after all! Imagine is right! San Marcos is doing what Portland tried thirty years ago! Fail!
