A daily rundown of live entertainment in and around San Marcos tonight, compiled by Mercury Scene Editor Hap Mansfield and our content partners at San Marcos Tonight.
Teal Collins and Barbara Nesbit are, ostensibly, the “sisters” part of the Whiskey Sisters (pictured) and their voices are certainly related with clarity and style. The Whiskey Sisters play a hard-drivin’ harmonious mix of rock and alt-country that you will really dig. They will be at Cypress Creek Cafe tonight at the Buzzard Bar starting at 9 p.m. The Triple Crown features two unique events: Chasca, whose picture may be in the dictionary next to the word “unique” and a comic book release party for local artist Chris Pike (AKA Reason to Worry). Should be a fun evening.
Featuring music from From Dharampal’s new album THE ESSENCE @7 p.m. @ Wake the Dead Coffeehouse, 1432 RR 12
The TX LadyBugs will bring their country-blues-Americana music to the Cibolo Nature Center & Farm’s family-friendly outdoor concert series amid the oaks and the evening stars. Proceeds benefit nature-education programs at the non-profit CNC. Bring lawn chairs or blankets, picnics, kids, grandparents, nice dogs on leashes and dancing shoes.
