STAFF REPORT
Texas State will have at least three football games regionally televised this season, either by the Sun Belt Network or ESPN3.
Texas State’s Sept. 7 home-opener against Prairie View A&M will be carried on ESPN3, while the Sun Belt Network will broadcast games against Georgia State on Oct. 19 and Arkansas State on Nov. 16.
The league will have 29 games overall televised, including seven will be available on the Sun Belt Network.
The Sun Belt Network is a partnership of the league and Cox Sports Television (CST) and Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS) that has been in place since 2008. The Sun Belt Conference may seek distribution with providers outside of the footprint those two networks reach. Contests are often available on ESPN3 and ESPN GamePlan outside of the CSS and CST markets.
Additional television games can be added through ESPN’s 12-day selection option and the announcement of non-conference games that will be televised.
