Live Oak Health extends hours, expands to Lockhart

FROM STAFF REPORTS

Central Texas Medical Center’s Live Oak Health Partners opened a San Marcos after-hours and weekend clinic in March and will open a Lockhart specialty care office in April.

The Live Oak Care Now clinic, located on the northbound Interstate 35 access road near Wonder World Drive, offers general medical treatment and acute care 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and Sundays.

Physicians, physicians assistants and nurse practitioners will offer same-day treatment for routine health issues ranging from colds and flus to minor fractures. The extended-hours clinic also offers on-site X-ray and on-site laboratory services.

The practice also announced Thursday that it would open its first Caldwell County facility before the end of the month. The Lockhart clinic, to be located at 1711C S. Colorado St., will offer specialty services that include general surgery, orthopaedics and gynecology. The Lockhart clinic will open 4:30 p.m. April 30 with a public reception.

Live Oak Health Partners, which has primary and specialty divisions, was established by CTMC as a physicians management group in 2012. The group currently has a roster of 22 physicians who service Live Oak offices in San Marcos, Kyle, Wimberley and Lockhart in addition to the new Care Now clinic in San Marcos.
