Logan Cunninghan, Texas State’s All-American pole vaulter, tacked up his best vault of the season Saturday as the Bobcats won three events at the Texas Invitational in Austin.

Cunningham vaulted 5.37 meters (17-7.25), topping the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) for the outdoor season and putting himself 15th in the nation.

Chante’sean White won the 400-meter hurdles with a first place time of 58.53 for Texas State, while teammate Jennie Thomas took fourth in the event.

Texas State’s Sandra Venegas dominated the 3,000-meter run with a first place time of 9:51.50, nearly a full seven seconds in front of the field.

Bobcat freshman Dasha Tsema claimed third at the Texas Invitational with a new WAC-leading throw of 50 meters flat in the women’s discus.

Chante’sean White continued to make a good showing in the 400-meter hurdles with a first place time of 58.53 while Jennie Thomas took fourth in the event.

Sandra Venegas, meanwhile, dominated the 3,000-meter run with a first place time of 9:51.50, nearly a full seven seconds in front of the pack.

The Bobcats finished second in the 4×100-meter relay. Timothy Young, Raymond Hatton, Reggie Reed and William Murray combined for a time of 40.62.
