Shinyribs

Tonight’s Best Bet

It’s a great night for music in San Marcos whether you want Mozart’s bone-chilling chords and devil defying histrionics in Don Giovanni at Texas State or the thoughtful alt-country rock of Bob Schneider at the Texas Music Theater. The Bacon Brothers at Gruene Hall are sold out so they may have to just be a trivia question answer for some. Those attending will be glad they got their tickets early. An added plus to the Bob Schneider performance is the opening band, Shinyribs (pictured.) Lead by Gourds frontman Kevin “Shinyribs” Russel, the shiny boys pack a wallop. You cannot go wrong tonight whether you love the playfulness of Andy Hartsock and the Ninjas at Wake the Dead Coffeehouse or the heartfelt country of Adam Johnson at Cheatham Street. Great night!
