Returning home from an exhausting 0-5 road trip against national powers Oregon and Oregon State, the Texas State baseball team took the field last Friday at Bobcat Field against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, made errors in each of the first two innings and found itself trailing, 9-0.
So, the Bobcats lost that series opener, 23-7. But they found their footing the next two days with wins of 5-3 an 7-1 against the Islanders, improving their record to 7-13.
The Bobcats will begin the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) season this weekend with three games at New Mexico State.
