It took the Texas State men’s basketball team more than 16 minutes to put double digits on the scoreboard Thursday night at Utah State.

You guessed it. The Bobcats lost again.

Utah State rolled to a 77-61 win. The Aggies now are 10-7 in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and 20-9 overall. The Bobcats fell to 4-13 and 9-21.

The Bobcats finally reached 10 points when Corey Stern hit a free throw with 3:35 left in the first half. The brought the Bobcats within 28-10. Utah State even expanded its lead from there, to 34-15 at halftime.

Vonn Jones led the Bobcats and all scorers with 19 points. Jarred Shaw led Utah State with 15 points.

Texas State will finish its regular season tonight at San Jose State (9 p.m.).
