A roll-over crash near Dripping Springs Thursday caused the death of a Hays County teenager.


Lindsey Neal, 16, a Dripping Springs High School student, died in the crash, according to reports. Department of Public Safety told reporters that five other students were in the wreck — three from Dripping Springs High School and two from Lake Travis High School.

The crash occured around 2:13 p.m. in the 2600 block of Fitzhugh Road. Reports said the car was traveling at an unsafe speed, left the roadway and flipped when the driver over-corrected. Neal was ejected from the automobile. The Hays County Sheriff’s Office said the fatality occured at the scene.

Two other passengers were transported to University Medical Center Brackenridge. Their condition is unknown.
