The San Marcos High School boys soccer team pushed itself over .500 on Feb. 1 with a 2-0 win at home against San Antonio Southside.

Christian Munoz and Eddie Urbizu scored the goals for the Rattlers, who who also played such strong defense that Southside took no shots on goal.

The Rattlers are 5-4-1 with their first district game coming up Friday at Lockhart. The junior varsity game begins at 5:30 p.m., with the varsity game to follow.
