Part-time Hays County resident Lance Armstrong is expected to offer a “limited admission” that he used performance-enhancing drugs in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that will air starting Thursday. Last year, cycling sanctioning officials stripped the cyclist of his unprecedented seven Tour de France wins between 1995 and 2005. Armstrong owns a 447-acre ranch in northern Hays County near Hamilton Pool Road in Dripping Springs, a property that has been on and off the market since 2009.
In this video Armstrong denied the allegations in an interview with the Texas Tribune’s Evan Smith in 2001.
