SUBMITTED REPORT

The San Marcos Community Services Department will accept Christmas trees for recycling through Jan. 13 in the parking lot at the Grant Harris Building, 401 E. Hopkins. The drop-off site will be open 24 hours a day.

Residents are asked to remove all ornaments and lights and place the trees in the fenced enclosure next to the stage.

San Marcos residents who want to dispose of Christmas trees at the curb through Texas Disposal Systems should call 800-375=8375 to arrange for a bulky waste pick up. Please call by 2 p.m. on the day before your scheduled trash day.

The next bulky pick up weeks are Jan. 7-11 and Jan. 21-25, 2013.
