by BRAD ROLLINS

Just before Christmas, Mercury Media San Marcos LLC filed a counterclaim against its former advertising director, Melissa Jewett, in answer to her sustained campaign of lies against my company. My claims against her, so far, include tortious interference with contracts; breach of contract; breach of fiduciary duty and defamation. You can read the document here:

For those of us who know what really happened, this is just another feeble attempt by Mr. Rollins to defame Ms. Jewett. The article speaks for itself.

Paula, I can’t fault you for sticking up for a family member, however, you don’t know “what really happened.” You’ve heard Jewett’s account and it resembles the truth only in passing — it is all chaff and no wheat. The facts will be spelled out in due course. When they are, I hope you will prove to be as fair-minded as I believe you might be.

Why would you “black out” two large sections of the Defendant’s Original Answer and Counterclaim? This is a file-stamped copy from the 428th District Court, public records. I find this a bit bizarre.

I don’t see anything “blacked out”. I can read it on my computer clearly.
