Authorities have cleared the scene of a crash involving three tractor-trailers that closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near the 201 mile marker for more than five hours.
Two drivers were transported to local hospitals, one to Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos and the other to University Medical Center-Brackenridge, with non life-threatening injuries.
The crash occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. when the three tractor-trailers collided with each other.
The San Marcos Fire Department contained a 20 to 30 gallon diesel fuel spill from one of the rigs until Texas Department of Transportation crews arrived to complete the clean up. The site was cleared and open to traffic by 7 a.m.
The San Marcos Police and Fire Departments, San Marcos-Hays County EMS and TxDOT responded to the crash.
