Hays County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy late this afternoon for an assault that severely injured a fellow student in a Dripping Springs High School bathroom on Tuesday.
Carlos M. Sabors-Battle is charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, a second-degree felony, said Lt. Dennis Gutierrez, a sheriff’s office spokesman.
The altercation sent a 15-year-old boy to Brackenridge Hospital with what Gutierrez describes as “serious head injuries.” Details of the student’s condition were not immediately available but Gutierrez said he expected to recover from the injury.
Sheriff’s officials are not saying anything further about the incident for now, Gutierrez said, because the investigation is ongoing.
