The Hays County Commissioners Court has scheduled a series of open houses on a proposed long-range transportation plan, the first of which is this afternoon in San Marcos.
The open house is 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins St. Other open houses will be held during then next week in locations across the county:
4:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13
Precinct 4 Office
195 Roger Hanks Parkway
4:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14
Historic Kyle City Hall
101 S Burleson St.
Wimberley High School
100 Carney Lane
A committee of commissioners court appointees is working with consultants on the document, which the court will consider adopting as its prioritized wish list for future capital improvements. A draft of the plan will be presented at the open houses.
“Residents who drive our roads are a valuable resource in helping us understand what the needs are and how to address them, and we encourage their review of this draft plan,” County Judge Bert Cobb said.
A transportation plan map and road project inventory were posted today (Nov. 8) on the county’s website. A draft of the full plan has not yet been made available electronically.Email | Print
