San Marcos police officers and firefighters bid farewell to retired police officer Emilio Gonzales on Monday, Oct. 22 at the San Marcos City Cemetery following a funeral mass at St. John Catholic Church. Gonzales was escorted to his final resting place by a procession of police officers and firefighters from throughout the area. He passed away Oct. 15 after a long illness.
