San Marcos police arrested a 35-year old San Marcos woman Wednesday night after responding to a stabbing in the 200 block of Third Street.

Cecilia Margarita Riojas, 35, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is currently jailed the Hays County Law Enforcement Center. Bond was set at $25,000.

Police responded to a call at 4:36 p.m. Wednesday about a disturbance involving several people that resulted in the stabbing of a 31-year-old man. The victim, Robert Hamilton, was transported by EMS to University Medical Center at Brackenridge where he was reported to be in stable condition.

San Marcos police are continuing to investigate the incident.
