San Marcos Transportation Division crews will be testing traffic signal timing plans along Hopkins Street and Aquarena Springs Drive on Aug. 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in preparation for the Texas State vs. Texas Tech football game on Sept. 8.
Motorists may experience longer red light times at traffic signals during this test period.

The City of San Marcos is expecting more than 30,000 visitors for the Texas State’s home game opener against Texas Tech. Transportation Division personnel will prepare before- and after traffic signal synchronization plans that favor access to and from Bobcat Stadium. On game day, cross-streets along Hopkins, Aquarena Springs Drive, and CM Allen may experience more delays than usual.
