Texas State holding football kickoff at Academy

The Texas State Athletic Department and Academy are partnering in hosting a football kickoff event on Saturday, Aug. 25, from noon to 2 p.m. at Academy Sports & Outdoors located on Interstate 35 in San Marcos.
Head football coach Dennis Franchione will be there from noon to 1 p.m. and the Texas State Strutters and cheerleaders will be in attendance from 1-2 p.m.
Fans attending the event can bring their football season tickets to be autographed by Coach Franchione. There will also be schedule cards, detailing each of the Bobcats’ first 12 football games as members of FBS. Outside, fans can take pictures with Boko, and collect autograph pins.
For those that have not yet secured their tickets to the first home football game against Texas Tech, on Sept. 8, they can go online at txstatebobcats.com/tickets or call the ticket office at 512-245-2272.
