Local physicians group adds three doctors

Three new doctors have signed on with Live Oak Health Partners, a local primary and specialty care medical group owned by Central Texas Medical Center.

Robert Duran, a medical doctor in general surgery, is a native of San Antonio who first moved to San Marcos in 1987 to launch his practice. He completed his residency at the University of North Dakota. He recently returned to Hays County after moving away to care for his elderly parents.

Michelle Rodriguez, a medical doctor in family practice, attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed her residency at Memorial Family Medicine’s residency program. She is fluent in Spanish.



Jason VanShaar, a medical doctor in family practice, recently moved to San Marcos from Pennsylvania. He attended Temple Medical School in Philadelphia and completed his residency at Avington Memorial Hospital.
