For the second straight season, Texas State will have all of its football games for the 2012 season broadcast on ESPN Radio Austin, 1260 AM.

“We are excited to continue our relationship with ESPN Radio and looking forward to the season ahead,” said associate athletic director Don Coryell. “It’s important to us to reach our fans not only in San Marcos, but in the surrounding cities. We’re very pleased to remain in the Austin market.”

The games will also broadcast on the university’s student-run station, 89.9 FM KTSW, and the city of San Marcos’ station, 92.5 FM KZOS.

In addition to being broadcast over the radio, fans will be able to access the Texas State radio broadcast online on

Game day broadcasts will begin one hour before game time with longtime Bobcat announcers Bill Culhane and Brant Freeman on the call.

ESPN Radio will also be broadcasting The Dennis Franchione Football Coaches Show, which begins at 7 p.m. on Thursdays throughout the season, on its FM station, ESPN Austin 104.9. The Coaches Show will take place at Saltgrass Steakhouse for the second year in a row. Fans are encouraged to attend.
