Jeff, frankly I was noticeably pleased when they announced you defeat because you are devoid of ethical and moral core principals and community. I still remember the bullpucky the Exclusive Agent Associations received from your office staff while we attempted to secure support on House Bill 1384 (like legislation but Senate version) in early 2001. Although many of these same agents were being intimidate via corporate wrongful termination threats without ethical and moral cause. In fact, the criminal transfer of wealth from the agent’s pockets to the corporate purse while the public gatekeepers, senators and representatives gleefully watched. Even today, those same independent exclusive agents (contractually link to the five major carriers) aren’t appropriately indentified and in affect not statutorily identified and prime for coercion by big business. Since that Senate Bill never reach the Senate floor, for votes, over thirty small independent agent agencies businesses have been essential robed and were coerce into selling regardless, vis-à-vis normal alternative wishes lke continuing to operate the businees and leave a family legacy. When the GOP pontificates about lost “freedom” it isn’t just another tokent word to small business owners; but, anthetical why Big Business shouldn’t be allowed to run-roughshot of small enterprises including regulatory unfetthered system not rooted in ethical and juridical principals inspired by religious sentiment. Need I say more? Previously, a strong believe in the Eisenhower Republican principals as a small independent agency owner under contract (appointment) with Allstate I was highly in favor of the free market system with certainly Juridical parameters and most certainly not at the expense of employee abuse. Contractual contracts should always be honored and contactor or employees should never be treated as simple commodities. Human dignity is paramount in all transaction to extol ethics and morality in all our personal endeavors. Good luck in the business world, I am sue you have plenty friends – stay healthy my friend.
