STAFF REPORT

Emergency railroad repairs will close a mile-long stretch of Kohler’s Crossing, between Kyle Parkway and Kyle Crossing, for most of Monday, July 16.

The tracks have settled significantly where they traverse Kohler’s Crossing and Union Pacific officials say they will undertake previously unscheduled reconstruction as soon as they can, said Jerry Hendrix, the city’s spokesperson.

Both east- and westbound Kohler’s Crossing will be closed from about 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The major thoroughfare connects Mountain City, the Plum Creek subdivision and other residential areas to Interstate 35.
