Whiskered revelers will be judged on their facial hair’s length, width, shape and general texture at the first Rock Your Beard Bash on Wednesday, June 13 at Texas Music Theater. The competition includes mens’ and womens’ divisions.

The event will be hosted by Austin comedian Jon Stringer and feature performances by Opium Symphony, Ransom Jack, Allus Killus and Perfectly Out of Place.

Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. and bands will take the stage at 10 p.m. Tickets are $5 for people 18 years old and younger.

Dallas modern rockers Opium Symphony are on a 40-city tour to preview their first full-length album, Blame It On the Radio, which they plan to self-release on June 19. The group is comprised of Kellen Ross on vocals and guitar, Jarrett Kramer on lead guitar, Drew Nolde on bass and Derron Bell on drums.
